Livraria Lello Tickets

Visit the most beautiful bookstore in the world.

There are places that tell the story of Portugal. And there are places that connect that story to the Camino de Santiago.

The Monastery of Leça do Balio is not just a medieval monument. It was the headquarters of the Order of the Hospital (Order of Malta) in Portugal and played a strategic role in protecting the medieval paths of the North, including the Jacobean itineraries leading to Santiago de Compostela.

Throughout the centuries, this space has been linked to hospitality, defense, and support for travelers — values deeply rooted in the tradition of the Camino de Santiago.

Today, visiting Leça do Balio is to rediscover this historical dimension: a place where spirituality, welcome, and heritage cross paths.

It is in this historical setting that the Livraria Lello Foundation is located today, installed in the Monastery's cloisters, creating a unique dialogue between heritage, art, and literature.

And to complete the experience, we also include entry to the iconic Livraria Lello, in the center of Porto.
