The Porto Pilgrim Office helps organize the safe and reliable transport of your extra luggage to Santiago de Compostela through its specialized transport partners, allowing you to walk the Camino without carrying bags you do not need along the way.
The transport service is provided and operated by independent partners of the Porto Pilgrim Office. The Office receives the booking, provides information and assists with the coordination of the service.
How the Service Works
Drop-off at the Porto Pilgrim Office
Simply leave your luggage at the Porto Pilgrim Office. We will store it temporarily and hand it over to the designated transport partner on the previously agreed date, ensuring that it arrives in Santiago in time for your collection.
Direct Collection from Your Accommodation
If your Camino does not start in Porto, or you are unable to visit the Porto Pilgrim Office, collection may be arranged directly from your hotel, hostel or other accommodation by one of our transport partners.
The accommodation must have a staffed reception where the luggage can be safely collected.
Collection in Santiago
Luggage is delivered exclusively to our permanent collection point in Santiago de Compostela.
This solution provides greater flexibility and reliability, avoiding problems caused by hotel reception hours, early deliveries or access restrictions.
When you arrive in Santiago, your luggage will be waiting for you. There is no need to rush or coordinate your arrival with your accommodation—you can collect it directly from the designated location at your convenience.

- Luggage up to 18 kg: €50
- Luggage over 18 kg or large items: €60
